Common sense interpretation of biblical polygyny marriage and refuting false teachings against biblical polygyny.
Here I present BIBLICAL THEOLOGY of Polygyny Marriage.

Marriage Instituted By God - Not Adam & Mankind
Scriptures to interpret scriptures . . .
Do NOT allow denominational teachings to confuse your interpretation of scriptures. Jesus said He would send us the Holy Spirit to teach us. (John 14:26). Denominationalism is like wearing a pair of kaleidoscope glasses. Denominational teachings have a way of FILTERING out true and proper UNDERSTANDING of scriptures. To understand what the scriptures are saying helps with proper interpretation. But denominational teachings often filter out or distort/interfere with proper interpretation because of all the erroneous inherent preconceptions in denominational teachings which get you off track to proper understanding. Trust the Holy Spirit instead.

Do not wear the kaleidoscope glasses of denominationalism.
Denominationalism was created to divide and monetize.
Radical feminism, militant homosexuals and the love of money among the enemies of God which we are seeing wage war against His Church.
A Christian man must ensure both of his wives enjoy marital benefits as prescribed in the Laws of God. Love is the foundation of Christian marriage whether one husband with one wife or husband with two wives. God joins heterosexuals in marriage who love one another and who have chosen to commit themselves in loving marriage to one another.
Many contemporary Christians accepting of gay marriage while condemning polygyny marriage and socially outcasting those who respect God's Laws for polygyny marriage. Strange that people who claim to be Christians will accept friendship with and/or defend the right of people to choose homosexuality while socially outcasting and rejecting Christians for standing up for God's polygyny laws.
While this appears to be simply ignorant and manipulative behavior of false or immature Christians, God does NOT join homosexuals in marriage.
Homosexual relations does not consummate marriage. Interesting to note so many Christians accept same sex marriage while also being against God's divine polygyny marriage Laws.
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". - Matthew 6:21
Ensuring Marital Rights For Both Wives
With the laws of man against polygyny in most nations, what does a Christian man do for marital rights of his wives? The backward marital laws of man are easily circumvented through the husband having a living trust, will, power of attorney and life insurance to help ensure both wives legally entitled to benefits. The wife the husband has a marital relationship with outside the laws of man can even have her last name changed to the husband's if desired.
Why would two women want to be in a family with one husband? When a woman and man find marital love together is the first reason. Then if another woman and that man find marital love in one another. Other reasons is so that the three can more easily and with less risk build their wealth together. Growing assets is easier and sharing the fruits of their labor together as a family increases standard of living for themselves and their children. It is also easier at the same time to build up a larger retirement nest egg. These are not easy accomplishments for a single man or woman. It is easier for a one man and one woman marriage. But even easier and less risky for a family consisting of a husband with two wives. Of course, the elite and globalists of this world want the masses to be more dependent on the government in every way possible for their control and power. This is among the real reasons why polygyny was made illegal by the laws of man but not in the laws from God.
While the marital laws of man change and the government now says there are well over 50 different "identity genders" and redefining marriage, the divine marital Laws of God remain the same. The stupidity of secular mankind is only matched by his ignorance. The consequences of rejecting the divine marital Laws of God.
"Love is the fulfillment of the law." - Romans 13:10
“If you love Me, keep My commandments". - John 14:15
Genesis 2:24 was spoken by Adam.
Adam's words were NOT marital law.
However, Jesus confirmed the validity of Adam's basic statement in Matthew 19:3-8. But Jesus did NOT go so far as to contradict God's divine polygynous marriage Laws by stating marriage only between one man and one woman. "One flesh" is NOT synonymous with "one wife". Therefore, Adam didn't say marriage between one man and one woman either unless referring to his own marriage with Eve. Also Adam didn't have that authority. Marriage instituted by God, not Adam. God's marriage Laws which came AFTER Adam (after the Fall) and which existed at the time of Christ in Matthew 19:3-8 clearly includes polygyny when Jesus spoke these words. Matthew 5:18 Jesus stated God's Law does not disappear. So now we can understand why Jesus was able to tell the parable of the polygynous marriage in which the groom, Jesus, marries the five wise & faithful virgins. (Matthew 25:1-12). Of course people who don't agree with God's divine polygyny marriage Laws have difficulty with this parable told by Jesus. Those of us who accept God's divine polygyny marriage Laws accept & understand.

The Children of Adam & Eve Married One Another
Remember, God chose to solve Adam's alone problem by creating the woman for Adam from Adam's own flesh. This is biblical PROOF there were no other humans on earth. The scriptures also directly state that Eve was the very first woman, "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living". - Genesis 3:20. Funny & strange when you realize Adam must have known who his sons would marry . . .
Adam & Eve's sons married their own sisters. "One flesh" has gained another meaning here in this context, hasn't it? Let's quickly revisit the historical context and setting of Genesis 2:24: Well, it's disgusting to us contemporary believers today to note when we read Adam's words about the man leaving his mother and father and clinging to his own wife and becoming "one flesh" with his wife - who the wives would be. In Adam's mind Adam is speaking about the man (son) leaving Adam & Eve with their daughters and clinging to their daughter as a wife and becoming "one flesh" with his own sister. Good thing Genesis 2:24 not a marriage law from Adam. Right? Adam was speaking from his own perspective and describing how he basically understood heterosexual marriage. Not divine marital Law but a basic generalization and primitive human conception of the divine marital Laws which would come from God later. If Adam's feet were put to the fire, he might have said marriage suppose to be between brothers and sisters but we already know that God would declare Laws later forbidding brother and sister marriage. We also know God would declare divine polygynous marital Laws later FOR polygyny. So now we understand why Adam did NOT say marriage only between brothers and sisters and why he did NOT say marriage to be only between one man and one woman (unless speaking of his own marriage to Eve or that of his children which he would marry to one another). Easy to understand this. Adam could NOT and did NOT speak for God. There is no, "Thus saith the Lord", from the lips of Adam. And who would Adam think he is to demand that marriage as he instituted it for his children would apply to everyone through all time? Marriage Laws which apply to everyone through all time comes from God; not Adam. The marriage of Adam & Eve and their children is much different situation than for the rest of us since the beginning of time.
"The Best Explanation of Marriage" is title of this graphic. It's not too bad especially if we ignore or forget the man who said it was marrying his sons and daughters to one another. Also safe to assume marrying their nieces as well because who else did the nieces have to marry when their parents only gave birth to a few daughter(s)? Also DNA evidence.

Distinction: Understand The Difference
God did NOT make Laws against polygyny. God made divine marital Laws FOR polygyny. God did not make polygyny illegal. God made it legal according to His own divine marital Laws.
God makes illegal that which is AGAINST HIS WILL. God makes legal that which is IN ACCORDANCE WITH HIS WILL.
Polygyny marriage is from God.
To acquire true and deeper UNDERSTANDING of what this means consider this. After God issued the divine marital Laws of polygyny, children were taught in godly homes while growing up that polygyny IS a marital option from God. Women can marry a man who is single or a man who already has a wife. God provides divine marital Laws FOR polygyny and monogamous marriage. Which option people choose depends on where they find marital love. Love is the fulfillment of the law.
Seeking a Deeper Understanding of Genesis 2:24 | More To Consider
I hate sounding like a broken record, but there is often different lessons of truth wrapped up in the scriptures. I just can't address each element all at the same time. So please forgive me for having to refer to the same scriptures several times with different points.
Of course, let's NOT forget a man does not even have to get married in order to leave his mother and his father. Right? But, if we're going to assume Genesis 2:24 to be "family law" or a divine Law which is suppose to apply to all people across all of time then a man today shouldn't be leaving his mother and father until he has a wife to hold fast to and become one flesh with. Right? That's what this scripture states then.
But when we stop to thoughtfully understand this scripture in its historical context, we UNDERSTAND that at the time of Adam & Eve living off the land with your children was the way life was. Their sons grew up helping them live off the land. Then when each of their sons married one of their daughters the married son & daughter would leave so the son of Adam & Eve would be the head of his own household and wife and become "one flesh" with his sister. This was to fulfill God's blessing to multiply in Genesis 1:28. But, reality is, we all KNOW Genesis 2:24 is NOT "family law" or a divine law from God requiring a man to stay with his parents until he gets married and it is NOT "marital law" either. It was a decision and declaration by Adam how to deal with a growing family and marriage and since there were no other people on earth yet. So Adam & Eve's children stayed with them at home until certain brothers and sisters married one another. As a husband, the son was required to leave the parents with his sister. So, when it comes to this part of Genesis 2:24 we can agree that Genesis 2:24 is NOT family law which requires a man to stay with parents until marriage except at the time of Adam & Eve. Perhaps now it is easier to accept that Adam was speaking of his own situation with Eve and what Adam declared was NOT any law for all mankind for all time. One of the ideas Adam had in mind was to fulfill God's blessing in Genesis 1:28 to fill the earth. Having his married children to leave home when they got married to one another was the only way to help ensure this would happen. It is God and only God who issues divine Laws which do not change or disappear. Marriage for all people through all time was instituted by God; not Adam. We today have no laws or commandments from Adam to be obeyed.
Propaganda works powerfully. Christian denominationalism has people so focused on falsely interpreting this scripture as meaning God instituted marriage to be only between one man and one woman that they totally ignore the fact it also states a man is not suppose to leave his parents until he has a wife to hold fast to and become one flesh with. Fortunately, these words spoken by Adam in Genesis 2:24 were NOT a marital law from God to be applied to all mankind for all time. If God had done this, then God contradicts His polygyny marriage Laws. God has not given us conflicting marital Laws.
This scripture is simply Adam's declaration/intention how he was going to fulfill God's words in Genesis 1:28 to fill the earth. Marrying his own children to one another in one husband and one wife marriage and sending them out into the world was the only way. Adam & Eve the very first man and woman and their children were not falling off trees like apples. Marriage was definitely different for Adam & Eve then what it has been ever since for everyone else.
This more comprehensive understanding of Genesis 2:24 is obviously NOT candy-coated. But it is the truth. It is what an honest and true understanding of the scriptures teach us. I know, it's not so "romantic" and infused with modern social norms, but this is what the scriptures actually teach us if we are willing to accept and learn from them. Let's not try to change history as revealed in the bible to suit our own ethnocentric sensitivities of morals and preconceptions of marriage as defined by modern man or Christian denominations. Each and every time people do this, you are left with conflicting and contradictory interpretations of scriptures throughout the bible.
After so many brothers and sisters left home and started their own families in various regions, uncles and aunts married nieces and nephews as the populations grew. After so many generations men and women joined in one husband and two wife marriages in accordance with the marriage commandments of God. Of course, not all men were right with God. But then, not all women were right with God either. So there were problems in both monogamous and polygynous marriages. As time went by and people spread throughout the lands and became tribes, societies grew in complexity. I'll just leave it at that for now.
But you see, there are people today who are offended by the biblical historical FACT that the children of Adam & Eve married one another. So what do they do? They try to change the interpretation of scriptures and/or they just want us to assume contrary to scriptures that there were other people created for the sons of Adam & Eve to marry. But the scriptures are VERY CLEAR that Eve was created for Adam from Adam and that would be because there were no women until God created Eve from Adam. (God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam because there was not a companion found for Adam despite all the animals brought to Adam for Adam to name). Then Adam, also stated that she would be called Eve because she would be the mother of all living. These combination of scriptures taken together makes it VERY CLEAR there were no other people on earth. So the sons of Adam & Eve married their own sisters.
Yet, so many don't want to accept what God tells us in the scriptures. Biblical FACT is polygyny is from God and the children of Adam & Eve married and had children together. Like that or not. But this is just another example of how people try so hard to change what the Bible teaches when they don't like it.
Author, John C Wilson
It is God who marries men and women together. There is no magic formula. No magic trick. God unites men and women in marriage just like He did Adam & Eve. When the scriptures tell us divine polygyny marriage Laws where a husband has two wives - it was God Who married them. This is why God recognized those women as being WIVES and why divorce was not an option - what God has joined together let no man separate. Those husbands and wives in polygynous marriages were just as married and their marriages by God were just as real and valid as the marriage of Adam & Eve. So when people today question whether God actually married those people you are actually questioning what God tells us in the bible that He did in fact do! And, God even provides divine polygyny marital Laws!
So to the question, "Does God permit or allow or support polygyny marriage?" Yes, of course! His divine polygyny marriage Laws are right there in the bible for the whole world to see. His Laws do not disappear or fade away. The divine marital laws of God describe to us what marriage as instituted by God IS: both polygynous and monogamous marriage is from God.
In the case of Adam & Eve, God even assigned the cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
(Read Genesis 3:24 for reference).
Adam & Eve were the only two people at that time! The scriptures do not state whether Adam or Eve ever apologized or repented to God for their disobedience. They probably didn't which is the reason God assigned the cherubim.
EVE alone was a good reason for Adam to have only one wife. Eve had already tempted Adam to disobey God. Other wives under Eve's influence would NOT have been a good situation. So God's divine polygyny marriage Laws came later for others as the populations grew and His marital Laws for polygyny could then be applied.
Important Distinction To Understand Concerning God's Marital Laws
But at the beginning, Adam had no choice but to give his sons and daughters to one another in marriage. God made marital Laws later forbidding brother and sister marriage. It is important to understand and know, God did not change His Laws. For God's purposes and in His timing, He later created the Law against brother and sister marriage (Leviticus 18:9). But there was not a Law before that which stated brothers and sisters may marry. This is an important distinction to understand. Of course as I've previously pointed out, until the Fall, there was no need for any laws. Neither Adam or God issued any kind of laws. Since the Fall when sin entered the world, God gave us His commandments which do not change or expire because they are given to us to address SIN.
God does NOT change His mind or marital Laws. If and when God would change any of His Laws, we can rest assure God will tell us Himself in His own words when a Law changes or is no longer in effect. Sadly, there are many people who apparently haven't learned this very important distinction and who do not have this understanding of God's Laws and so they teach confusing and erroneous interpretations of scriptures.
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away".
-Matthew 24:35
So even after all of us including heaven and earth have passed away, the words of God do NOT pass away.

God does NOT issue conflicting or contradictory marriage Laws.
Do not make God's divine polygyny marriage Laws a stumbling block to honest scriptural interpretations.
LOVE is the fulfillment of God's Laws.
Divorce Rates of Monogamous Marriages
Do those who claim "monogamous marriage" the ideal marriage model they claim God instituted in Genesis 2:24 really want to talk about the FACTS? Those who make that claim have construed Genesis 2:24 and are construing established statistical data on divorce in monogamous marriage. God never said monogamous marriage the "ideal marriage model". And neither is polygyny marriage. The problem is the fallen human race. These facts being another reason why God has provided divine marital laws for both monogamy and polygyny. Neither is going to make husbands and wives perfect in perfect marriages. You think Adam lived in marital bliss after what Eve lead him to do? There is NO such thing as God's ideal marriage model because of the fallen human race. But what God has done is given us two marriage models in His divine marital laws - monogamy and polygyny and which one works best depends on where men and women find marital love.
There is NO ideal marriage model. That is just another lie of those trying to create arguments against polygyny despite God's divine marital laws FOR polygyny!
Very self-righteous to argue against God's own divine marital laws FOR polgyny by claiming monogamy is God's "ideal marriage model". You people who create this claim and argumentation are actually disagreeing with God! For the fallen human race, there is NO "ideal marriage model".
Scientific Evidences For The Divinity of Jesus
Didn't say this is proof. God wants us to be justified through FAITH and believing Him instead of assuming Him to be evil and not someone to be listened to and obeyed like Eve did in the Garden of Eden. God wants His words to be believed. So here is evidence to supplement your faith in God's scriptures.
The 12 Foundation Stones in New Jerusalem
These common gemstones are anisotropic, but that wasn't known until the last Century, around 1900 years after Revelation was written. Some of God's knowledge and wisdom revealed here. (Reference Revelation 21). This kind of Light is the SAME kind of Light which Lights the new Jerusalem. This Light is the lamp which is the Lamb of God.
The blast of Light from the body of Jesus inside the "Shroud of Turin" and which created the 3D image scientists have found in the burial shroud of Christ is also the same kind of Light required to blast brilliant colors from the Gemstones in the new city. The Lamb of God is Jesus Who is the Lamp and the new city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it.
(See Revelation 21:23 for reference).
...clothed in rainbows, of living color .....
With the love of many waxing cold in these later days, my next post will be about marriage in the New Testament.
The Love of Many Will Wax Cold . . .
Sadly, despite God's divine polygyny and monogamy marriage Laws, the last generations love is waxing cold. Whether men and women are in polygyny or monogamy marriages, divorce rates are high, cheating is rampant, many try or get involved in "wife swapping" or being "swingers". They don't wear their wedding rings and view pornography and more. Those are symptoms of people searching and wanting something better.
Final thoughts about polygyny. Polygyny is even seen in the animal world and is more wide-spread than people assume. https://animalia.bio/polygyny
When it comes to men and women, God provided His divine marital laws FOR polygyny so that a husband and his two wives may live in harmony, love, joy and happiness as they build a family together or bring families together.
